    Nestlings/New Swimmer Evaluations
    Little Falls Swimming Club

    If you are considering pre-team or Nestlings for your child this summer, you must sign up for your child to be evaluated.  If you cannot make it on this day, please indicate your interest on the sign-up form and we will find a time to evaluate your child during the first week of practice. Parents will only receive a registration link if their child is evaluated. 

    If your child was a Nestling last summer and you believe he/she is ready for pre-team, we still recommend an evaluation first, but as the cost for both programs is the same, you may register for pre-team.

    Swimmers should come ready to hop into the middle pool and show off their swimming/floating abilities.

    Team Suit Try On and Purchase

    Team suits are optional but popular for both swimmers and divers. Team suits will be available for purchase at the pool from 10am-12pm on Saturday, May 24. A Sport Fair rep will be there with sample sizes for your swimmer/diver to try on before purchasing. If you know your swimmer’s size, you can purchase starting now here. Please note that these take time to ship, so order soon if you want your suit to arrive in time for the first meet. You can also visit Sport Fair’s brick and mortar store at 5010 Lee Highway in Arlington to purchase suits.

    Time trials is the opening (practice) meet of every season, swum so new and updated times can be recorded for swimmers.

    *Coaches will enter swimmers in every event for their age group. Feel free to leave notes with any questions/comments when declaring availability.

    B Meets: Swimming “scrimmage” held on Wednesday evenings against teams that may or may not be in our division. We have chosen pools in close proximity to Little Falls for parent convenience. Swimmers swim for competitive practice and to improve their times. B meets are all about fun and they're open to everyone. Swimmers may be limited to fewer than 4 events depending on the rules of the host team.

    Anyone who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in a stroke at Time Trials is not eligible to swim that stroke at this meet.

    A Meets: Regular MCSL competition held on Saturday mornings against other teams in our division, Division I. Score is kept and the results of these meets “count” toward our league standings. Each team can put 6 swimmers in all freestyle events and 3 swimmers in events for all other strokes. The coaches decide the lineup for the meet every Thursday based upon swimmer’s times. Times from time trials and Wednesday B meets are used to determine what swimmers will be entered in the following Saturday A meet. Swimmers may be entered in an A meet with a NT or no time in some instances, except Divisionals where an A meet time must be used.
