    Swim caps are optional but encouraged. The deadline for placing a swim cap order with Sport Fair, Inc., personalized or not, is Wednesday, May 1. They will be shipped directly to your home address.  Click here to purchase.

    Unsure if your swimmer is ready for Nestlings or Pre-Team? Coaches will be conducting assessments of swimmers at the beginning of the season. If you have any question about whether the team is a good fit for your child, please sign up for a quick assessment before registering; assessments should only take 5-10 minutes. Please sign up at the same link if you need to schedule an alternate day/time for the evaluation.

    If you are out of town this day, that is fine!  But if you are in town this day, let's hold our first practice!  We'll have the pool to ourselves, prior to the pool opening for the Memorial Day Picnic.

    Bring all of your LF Penguin team spirit!

    Most Friday evenings before an A meet the team has a pep rally led by our coaches and older swimmers. These are social events for the team and all swim AND dive kids are invited to attend. Kids will cheer, play games, and generally engage in maximum fun! Coaches will select a theme for each pep rally and send it out to the team via email.

    Time trials is the opening (practice) meet of every season, swum so new and updated times can be recorded for swimmers.

    *Coaches will enter swimmers in every event for their age group. Feel free to leave notes with any questions/comments when declaring availability.

    Week 1B - Somerset @ LF (make-up time trials)

    B Meets: Swimming “scrimmage” held on Wednesday evenings against teams that may or may not be in our division. We have chosen pools in close proximity to Little Falls for parent convenience. Swimmers swim for competitive practice and to improve their times. B meets are all about fun and they're open to everyone. Swimmers may be limited to fewer than 4 events depending on the rules of the host team.

    Anyone who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in a stroke at Time Trials is not eligible to swim that stroke at this meet.

    Week 1A - LF @ Poolesville

    A Meets: Regular MCSL competition held on Saturday mornings against other teams in our division, Division G. Score is kept and the results of these meets “count” toward our league standings. Each team can put 6 swimmers in all freestyle events and 3 swimmers in events for all other strokes. The coaches decide the lineup for the meet every Thursday based upon swimmer’s times. Times from time trials and Wednesday B meets are used to determine what swimmers will be entered in the following Saturday A meet. Swimmers may be entered in an A meet with a NT or no time in some instances, except Divisionals where an A meet time must be used.
