Beach trip to Rehoboth
Important information
Date: July 14
Time: Bus leaves Little Falls at 7 AM, returns at approximately 8:30 PM
Bus cost: $35 per person. Reserve your spot by filling out the form below and submitting payment.
We have a smaller luxury bus this year- because to make the trip economical given current gas prices, we must be sure to fill all the seats. We think we will be able to upgrade to a larger bus if there is enough demand.
You must pay for your seat when you reserve it - but you must wait for confirmation of the reservation by the Swim Team Reps. (This is so we don't overfill the bus by accident.)
The trip is for team members and their families and friends.
Chaperone requirements: The trip is not chaperoned by the coaches or any other adults. Each child who is 12 or under must be accompanied by a chaperone who is age 15 or older.
Registration: To reserve a spot on the trip, complete Step #1 and Step #2 below. Spaces are reserved only if they are paid for, and you get a confirmation from the swim team reps that there is room on the bus.
Step 1: Enter information about those going on the trip
Please make sure you have hit the 'submit registration' button above before you go to step #2.
Step #2: Pay for the trip
Cost is $35 per person. Click on the "Buy Now" button and then enter the number of people you are registering (under "Qty", then click "update totals"). You can pay either with a credit card or a PayPal account.
Refunds:
There are no refunds. The trip goes on rain or shine. If you have paid for a reservation and cannot use it, you may resell it to another team member. If you resell your reservation, you must contact team@littlefallspenguins.com with the name of the new registrant.
Any problems registering or paying, please contact Victoria Aronoff at webmaster@littlefallspenguins.com
Trip details
The trip is for team members and their families. There may be room for friends to come on the trip - please email team@littlefallspenguins.com to see if there is room for friends.
The trip is not chaperoned by the coaches or any other adults. Each child who is 12 or under must be accompanied by a chaperone who is age 15 or older.
The team sets up camp on the beach right near the bandstand. Participants will want to bring along snacks and drinks and money for food and amusements, and can also pay for renting beach chairs and umbrellas. There are changing rooms and bathrooms nearby.
The coaches will specify a couple of times during the day when all participants must check in at the camp for a head count. Please be aware that the coaches are not responsible for chaperoning the kids. What the kids do is up to their own chaperones, and the unaccompanied kids ages 13 and up are on their own. Good behavior is expected from everyone to make the trip run smoothly. Typically, kids divide their time between the beach, shopping, eating, miniature golf, and the amusements at FunLand. Bringing dry clothes for the ride back is a good idea.
The trip goes on rain or shine, so please look at a weather forecast and be prepared for it.
The bus is an air-conditioned luxury bus with a video player on board, but no bathroom. The trip takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. Sometimes families are already at the beach or choose to drive separately and meet at the beach. There is a long-term parking lot available in Rehoboth with a shuttle bus to the beach.
